Job Title: SAP Variant Configuration Consultant
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Variant Configuration (VC) consultant to join our team and provide expertise in designing and implementing Variant Configuration solutions and data migration within the SAP ecosystem. As an SAP VC Consultant, you will play a crucial role in configuring and optimizing product models, managing complex product configurations, and ensuring the alignment of SAP solutions with business needs
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, configure, and optimize SAP Variant Configuration models, classes, characteristics, and dependencies for a variety of products.
* Define product structures and ensure proper configuration settings to meet business requirements.
* Develop and maintain configuration profiles, masters, characteristics, value assignments, and configuration rules.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to define the required product variants and ensure SAP configuration meets business requirements.
* Ensure proper integration with Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and Material Management (MM) for seamless end-to-end business processes.
* Perform data validation and reconciliation in coordination with business and IT stakeholders
* Develop data migration templates and support mock-cutover and go-live activities
Requirements:
* Minimum 8 years of experience and at least 2 SAP VC full life cycle implementation experience in SAP ECC including experience with data migration.
* Experience with data migration tools and methodologies, like LSMW and other tools
* Familiarity with ABAP for custom extraction or transformation scripts.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and progress.
* Involvement in process improvements, system enhancements, and general problem solving to improve customer experience and team effectiveness
Project-Specific Requirements:
* Ability to identify the required fields, tables, and relationships in SAP for VC data migration.
* Prepare and execute data migration strategies for the transfer of variant configuration data to SAP.
* Develop detailed mapping of VC-related data between legacy systems and SAP and define transformation rules for moving data, ensuring that configurations are properly mapped.
* Well versed with Implementation onsite-offshore delivery models.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
