We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal / RF Layout Engineer to work in Santa Clarita Valley, CA on Hybrid basis.
Pay Rate: $40- $45/hr
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal / RF Layout Engineer to develop high-quality full-custom layouts at block and top level for advanced technology nodes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and advanced RF layout techniques, with experience in 5nm and below process technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop full-custom Analog, Mixed-Signal, and RF layouts at both block-level and top-level.
- Ensure layout compliance with Analog/Mixed-Signal and RF design constraints.
- Maintain high layout quality, including:
- Device matching and symmetry
- Shielding and isolation
- Reliability and manufacturability per design guidelines
- Perform and debug DRC, LVS, ERC, and antenna checks, and drive layout closure.
- Collaborate closely with circuit designers and cross-functional teams to resolve layout issues and meet aggressive project timelines.
- Interpret and implement PDK rules, including multi-patterning constraints, for advanced nodes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Cadence Virtuoso (XL/GXL) for layout design
- Calibre for physical verification
- Experience working with PDKs supporting multi-patterning rules.
- Proven experience in advanced technology nodes (5nm and below preferred).
- Solid RF layout experience, including:
- High-frequency signal path handling
- Guard rings, shielding, and isolation techniques
- EM coupling and parasitic mitigation
- Experience in layout of RF blocks such as:
- Mixers
- LNAs
- VCOs
- Power Amplifiers
Good to Have
- Exposure to layout of complex analog/mixed-signal blocks such as:
- PLL, LNA, VGA, ADC, DAC, SerDes, Bandgap, LDO
- Programming or scripting experience using SKILL for layout automation and productivity enhancement.
