Job DetailsRequirements:
- Serve as the front-line interface for assigned customer accounts, managing quality requirements, inquiries, and escalations from first report through closure.
- Lead end-to-end management of customer quality issues, including data review, failure analysis coordination, root-cause investigation, corrective and preventive actions (8D, 5-Why, CAPA), and formal customer reporting.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (quality, reliability, product engineering, test, design, operations, and suppliers) to ensure timely, technically robust responses to field returns, audits, and quality requests.
- Support and project-manage customer and automotive-quality audits, acting as the primary customer-facing quality contact for relevant sites and subcontractors.
- Analyze quality and reliability data to identify trends, systemic issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement in products, processes, and test strategies.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of quality management systems, documentation, and procedures in alignment with customer and industry standards (e.g., automotive, ISO/IATF where applicable).
- Provide clear, concise communication to customers on investigation status, risk assessments, containment, and long-term corrective actions, including preparation and delivery of technical quality presentations.
Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience in semiconductor IC engineering and quality roles, with significant customer-facing responsibility.
- Background in at least two of the following: customer quality engineering, quality systems, automotive quality, reliability engineering, failure analysis, product engineering, or production quality control in the semiconductor industry.
Technical skills:
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, assembly/packaging, and final test, including how ATE test results relate to device behavior and field performance.
- Working knowledge of IC silicon and package failure mechanisms, reliability testing methods, and FA lab tools and reporting practices.
- Proficiency with structured problem-solving and quality tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC, statistics) and ability to interpret data for decision making.
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to handle sensitive customer situations and deliver difficult messages while maintaining trust.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, global environment.
- High level of ownership, follow-through, and attention to detail in managing multiple customer issues and projects concurrently.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline required; an advanced degree is preferred.
