Summary

A cutting-edge AI startup is reimagining how teams communicate using real-time AI companions and we're looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help scale our ML systems into production. This is a full-time, fully remote role focused on combining the performance of Go with the intelligence of modern ML, powering the next generation of workplace communication tools.

This is your chance to work on truly meaningful problems at the intersection of high-performance systems and AI. You'll be part of a small, senior team building out the backend for our intelligent assistant platform, handling real-time ML inference, streaming data, and scalable APIs. If you're a backend-focused engineer with a passion for machine learning and you love working where performance and innovation meet this is the opportunity to own key systems, influence architecture, and grow into a technical leadership role. We offer a flexible, remote-first culture with zero burnout and full autonomy. Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years using Go (Golang) in production
Strong understanding of backend system design, distributed computing, and microservices
Experience deploying ML models into production environments at scale
Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience integrating ML models with backend APIs, real-time inference, or streaming systems

Desired Skills & Experience

Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and model lifecycle management
Experience building or scaling AI-powered products, especially in NLP or LLMs
Knowledge of real-time messaging platforms or productivity tools
Prior experience working with data pipelines, event-driven architecture, or WebSockets
Exposure to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM fine-tuning, or vector databases
