Role Overview
This position requires a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to lead security engineering efforts for enterprise programs. The role involves designing, developing, and recommending integrated security system solutions to ensure network systems meet specific certification, accreditation, and information assurance requirements for classified and Special Access Programs (SAP).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to ensure network systems meet C&A and IA requirements and are properly certified and accredited.
- Design, develop, and recommend integrated security system and physical control solutions.
- Assist the team in the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process using RMF for classified systems.
- Offer technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.
- Configure and validate secure systems, and test security products to detect weaknesses.
- Develop comprehensive system test plans (STP) to assess the security posture of information systems.
- Analyze scan results and security findings to prioritize and implement remediation efforts.
- Participate in incident response activities and assist in the resolution of security incidents.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills:- Experience with security tools including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Trellix, Splunk, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Advanced Windows administration capabilities and Linux proficiency.
- Practical experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting security tools.
Clearance: An active DOD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with tiered security environments (U, S, TS).
- A deep understanding of the Trellix antivirus suite of products.
- Knowledge of Splunk architecture and experience with multi-level queries.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and general administrative functions in Windows.
- Experience with a commercial government cloud service provider's system accreditation process.
- Experience as a Cybersecurity Control Assessor for SAP.
- Experience with Ongoing Authorizations and Assessments.
- Experience with C2S Cloud or DevOpsSec.
