Neos is Seeking a Sr. Oracle MWM & MDMS Systems Engineer for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX.

WORK DESCRIPTION
This resource will primarily support Mobile Workforce Management system but also back up the Meter Data Management System, as needed. The position manages and supports focused technology. Using comprehensive knowledge and competency, this position performs duties to support the running of batches, troubleshooting, making customer requested changes, writing reports, supporting training, patching and upgrading, and overall health of the system.
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
- Experience with business customer support of critical systems (applications) (8 years).
- Experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL and setting up system connections (8 years).
- Experience with upgrading, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering a Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Meter Data Management System (MDMS), or similar complex enterprise application system that includes large volumes of data and complex interfaces including job scheduling and disaster recovery plans across SDLC environments (DEV, TEST, PROD) (8 years).
- Experience with UNIX navigation and AIX/LINUX (specifically Red Hat and SUSE), including understanding and writing shell scripting such as KornShell (ksh) scripting (8 years).
- Experience evaluating system performance and health checks by implementing tuning improvements and performing system sizing estimates (8 years).
- Requires working non-traditional work hours including overnight and weekends.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and understanding of technology stacks and the impacts there within (2 years).
- Experience with Oracle Mobile Workforce Management system (MWM), including knowledge and understanding of MWM (3 years).
- Experience with Landis+Gyr Meter Data Management System (MDMS), including knowledge and understanding of MDMS (3 years).
- Effective time management, multi-tasking, self-sufficiency/proactive nature, disciplined and process-oriented work habits, teamwork, and ability to handle multiple complex priorities simultaneously (3 years).
- Experience documenting and communicating IT processes and procedures to multiple audience levels and across multiple platforms (3 years).
- Experience implementing application security procedures and ensuring compliance with all security policies, procedures, and standards, including building keystores and updating in Java (3 years).
- Experience with reports development in complex applications (3 years).
- Experience with WebLogic 12.2 for server maintenance (3 years).
- Experience with Java, Groovy, JavaScript, and Python (5 years).
- Experience developing and supporting application programming interfaces, including error handling processes (5 years).
- Experience managing enterprise applications using Java/Web Services under limited supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment (5 years).
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (5 years).
WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Critical production systems (MWM and MDMS) run 24x7x365, and work hours may be required between 5:00 AM and 1:00 AM (Monday-Sunday) or until the environment is restored. Required to attend onsite meetings at 4815 Mueller Blvd, Austin, TX 78723.
