POSITION OVERVIEW

KayDev Technology is seeking an experienced Windows Administrator for a 30-month opportunity supporting the New York State Department of Transportation in Albany, New York.

The successful candidate must have extensive experience administering commercial off-the-shelf business applications at the application layer, providing Level 3 technical support, resolving application and network-connectivity issues, translating business requirements into infrastructure architecture, analyzing logs with Splunk, and automating application maintenance with PowerShell and WMI.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must clearly document the following experience in their résumé:

• 84 months of experience working with agencies or business areas to understand business requirements and translate them into technical and security infrastructure requirements, resulting in architecture-design documentation covering data flows, interfaces with other systems, authentication, and related areas.

• 84 months of experience as a Server Administrator at the application layer performing commercial off-the-shelf business-application installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, with or without vendor involvement, including Level 3 technical support of such solutions on Windows operating-system platforms, IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, Certificate Services, and authentication using Active Directory, SSO with SAML 2.0, and OpenID Connect.

• 84 months of experience performing Level 3 analytical and technical support of commercial off-the-shelf or business-application interfaces and system interconnects, including networks, Stealth firewall software, F5, and load balancing, implemented in converged or mixed environments to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.

• 84 months of experience performing Level 3 analytical and technical support of commercial off-the-shelf or business applications using tools such as Wireshark, Process Monitor, Netstat, Ping, Traceroute, and Telnet.

• 60 months of experience performing Level 3 analytical and technical support of commercial off-the-shelf or business applications using tools such as Splunk for log analysis, system monitoring, and system-performance tuning.

• 24 months of scripting knowledge using PowerShell, WMI, and other scripting languages to automate and administer application maintenance.
