Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior .Net AI Developer
Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX or Southlake, TX ( 4 days a week onsite)
Duration: 12 month with possibility of extenssion
About the Role Our engineering teams build ultra-low-latency, resilient, high-throughput financial computing platforms that process billions of critical market transactions during trading hours. We operate at extreme scale, maintaining high standards across performance tuning, distributed systems reliability, observability, and infrastructure security.
In this role, you will design and modernize high-performance distributed services using modern .NET and event-driven architectures. You will integrate modern Generative AI tooling and agentic workflows directly into your day-to-day software development lifecycle (SDLC), leveraging AI assistance for refactoring, test generation, automation, and system diagnostics while ensuring robust production code quality.
Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain distributed, event-driven microservices using modern .NET, Apache Kafka, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Modernize legacy transactional systems into decoupled, high-performance services and APIs designed for high-concurrency transaction processing.
- Accelerate end-to-end software delivery by embedding GenAI coding tools into daily engineering practices, including code generation, unit test suites, regression analysis, automated scripting, and systems documentation.
- Leverage agentic frameworks, prompt engineering, and specification-driven development to scale individual and team velocity responsibly.
- Enhance platform reliability through automated testing, structured code reviews, profiling, distributed tracing, and chaos/resiliency testing.
- Partner with architects, product managers, and cross-functional technical teams to translate financial domain requirements into production-ready software solutions.
- Contribute to developer advocacy by demonstrating and scaling responsible AI-assisted engineering practices across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of professional software development experience building scalable back-end services, web services, or distributed applications in high-volume, highly available environments.
- 4 years of experience architecting and deploying containerized, cloud-native applications utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines on major cloud infrastructure (such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS).
- Hands-on experience developing event-driven, distributed systems with .NET and message streaming/queuing architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, IBM MQ).
- 2 years of experience with relational or NoSQL database platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Aerospike).
- 1 year of hands-on experience utilizing Generative AI tools, Large Language Models (such as Gemini, GPT, or Claude), or developer tools (such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code) across SDLC stages.
- Practical understanding of distributed tracing, profiling, and observability tooling (such as Splunk) and Twelve-Factor application principles.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
- Direct domain exposure to capital markets, broker-dealer workflows, electronic trading, or clearing and settlement platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and end-to-end automation frameworks.
- Proven track record leading or executing modernization initiatives for mission-critical transactional platforms.
- Experience authoring detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, interface definitions, system runbooks, and failure-mode analyses.
- Familiarity with driving organizational adoption of developer productivity tools, agentic workflows, or responsible AI practices within an Agile delivery framework.
