About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, you will serve as a hands-on technical lead in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will divide your focus equally between system design and hands-on coding (50/50 split), driving the architecture, implementation, and long-term scalability of a mission-critical enterprise authentication platform. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-throughput, fault-tolerant, and secure identity systems that protect both internal core services and external client integrations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of enterprise authentication platforms across QA, UAT, and production environments.
  • Architect robust, distributed systems optimized for high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance.
  • Partner with Product Management, Scrum Masters, QA, and Technical Operations to define technical roadmaps, size work, prioritize features, and mitigate project risks.
  • Build and maintain identity and credential management services bridging enterprise security layers and distributed partner networks.
  • Champion code health and engineering excellence by conducting structured design and code reviews with distributed teams, enforcing test-driven development (TDD), and automating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production anomalies using metrics, dashboards, and distributed log analysis tools.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using C# and the .NET ecosystem to build server-side applications and high-performance APIs.
  • Hands-on frontend development experience utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular or React).
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) architectures, authentication protocols (e.g., Kerberos, certificate-based authentication), and federated identity solutions.
  • Experience with NoSQL and distributed data stores (e.g., MongoDB, Aerospike).
  • Experience driving CI/CD automation and version control workflows (e.g., Git, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical lead capacity driving architecture decisions and cross-team adoption of engineering standards.
  • Experience deploying, scaling, and managing cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development practices and Specification-Driven Development methodologies.
  • Deep experience in the financial services, fintech, or digital brokerage sectors handling sensitive customer transaction and identity data.
  • Advanced expertise in production telemetry, real-time alerting, and root-cause analysis using observability platforms such as Splunk.
