Job Title: Analytics Consultant 3 - Data Analyst (Contingent)Location: Charlotte, NC Contract Length: 12 Months (Potential Extension to 24 Months)Pay Rate: $46.50 - $49.75/hour (OT40)Top Requirements:4+ years of Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Management, or related experience.Strong MSSQL skills, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.Experience with data analysis, profiling, cleansing, validation, and transformation using tools such as Alteryx and SSMS.Experience documenting data sourcing, transformation logic, metadata, lineage, and technical specifications.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and engaging business stakeholders.Plusses:Experience with Google Cloud data technologies (BigQuery, Dataplex, etc.).Familiarity with SSIS packages and job management.Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Atlassian tools.Prior experience supporting enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives.Job Summary:The Analytics Consultant 3 will support Chief Administrative Office (CAO) data enablement and data management initiatives by gathering requirements, performing data analysis, developing data relationship designs, and supporting enterprise data governance efforts. This role is critical in helping business teams leverage data effectively for operational and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven and results-oriented data analyst who can independently manage multiple workstreams, collaborate with business stakeholders, and translate business requirements into scalable and reusable data solutions. The position requires a strong blend of technical, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data use cases and reporting needs.
- Design logical data models and define data element relationships to support enterprise-wide data initiatives.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and root-cause analysis activities.
- Develop clear documentation for data sourcing, transformation logic, metadata, and technical specifications.
- Support database enhancement requests and contribute to logical data design solutions.
- Identify and document requirements for data quality monitoring and source integrity controls.
- Evaluate upstream system changes and assess downstream data impacts.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data governance groups to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Create technical specifications and actionable requirements for data engineering and technology teams.
- Support metadata management activities, including data lineage and data-sharing documentation.
