A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Analyst.

Position type: Full-time, Contract (W2)
Duration: 12 Months Contract w/ extension.
Location: Charlotte, NC – 3 days onsite/ 2 day remote

Overview: Client is seeking a Data Analyst to support enterprise data enablement and data management initiatives. This role will focus on gathering business requirements, analysing data, developing data relationship designs, supporting data quality efforts, and producing documentation that enables effective data governance and decision-making. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and reusable data solutions.

As a Data Analyst, you will:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data use case requirements.
Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, cleansing, and transformation activities.
Design and maintain logical data models and data element relationships.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot MSSQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Define data sourcing logic, transformation requirements, and database specifications.
Create and maintain documentation related to metadata management, data lineage, and data-sharing processes.
Assess upstream system changes and evaluate potential impacts on data assets and reporting.
Conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Support database enhancement initiatives and logical data design efforts.
Collaborate with technology, governance, and business teams to align data solutions with established standards and best practices.
Manage multiple workstreams while delivering accurate and timely analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience with MSSQL, including query development, optimization, and data analysis.
Hands-on experience using Alteryx and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Knowledge of data profiling, data validation, data cleansing, and transformation techniques.
Experience defining data sourcing requirements, transformation logic, and database specifications.
Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance practices.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve data quality issues.
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.
Experience supporting data modelling and logical data design activities.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $45- $50 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
