Contract Length: 12 months to start (option to extend up to 18 month tenure limit)


Seeking a Mid-to-Senior Data Analyst to join the Regulatory Operations team. In this role, you will analyze large datasets, perform rigorous data validation, and build reliable operational reporting to ensure timely regulatory deliverables. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to audit data quality, identify operational risks, and streamline core reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end data analysis, validation, and quality control checks across large, complex datasets to ensure high reporting accuracy.
  • Identify data discrepancies, root causes, and operational risks, providing actionable recommendations to risk and compliance partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Technology, and Business Units) to streamline existing workflows and automate reporting pipelines.
  • Monitor ongoing regulatory reporting deliverables to maintain strict adherence to compliance timelines.
  • Communicate analytical findings, operational gaps, and status updates to key business stakeholders through clear written documentation and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills (querying, joining, data extraction) and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Data Quality & Analysis: Proven track record in data validation, discrepancy identification, and operational risk detection within large datasets.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking with a structured approach to troubleshooting complex data issues.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Location: Must be locally based in or near Charlotte, NC or New York City, NY.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in financial services or working directly with regulatory data models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python) for automated data extraction and processing.
  • Experience building dashboards using BI tools (Power BI or Tableau).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) and data governance/lineage principles.
