- Interpret and follow insurance carrier billing guidelines and outside counsel billing requirements.
- Identify and resolve invoice rejections, billing discrepancies, compliance issues, and other obstacles to timely invoice processing.
- Assist with split billing and other complex billing arrangements, including appropriate allocation of fees and expenses where applicable.
- Monitor invoice status, accounts receivable, and unbilled inventory; follow up on outstanding invoices and billing issues to support timely collections.
- Communicate with billing attorneys, legal staff, accounting colleagues, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and keep billing cycles on schedule.
- Identify recurring billing problems and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain organized records and follow through on open items with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
At least three years of insurance defense billing experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electronic billing platforms and multiple client billing systems.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
