Position Overview:

Seeking a hands-on Software Development Engineer II to build and support scalable backend services for Amazon Business foundational platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ development, AWS, distributed systems, and backend engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications and services.
Develop high-quality production code using C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
Build and support distributed, multi-tiered, high-volume systems.
Leverage AWS cloud technologies to develop scalable solutions.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support.
Work independently to analyze technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams across the U.S. and Spain.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong C++ development experience.
Strong AWS cloud experience.
Hands-on backend engineering experience.
Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
Strong understanding of OOP and software design principles.
Experience across the full SDLC.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Prior Amazon experience is highly preferred/required by the client.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Generative AI.
Enterprise-scale or business-facing applications.
Experience handling large volumes of data.
Strong ownership, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
