Need: Backend Engineering | C++ | AWS | Distributed Systems
Position Overview:
Seeking a hands-on Software Development Engineer II to build and support scalable backend services for Amazon Business foundational platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ development, AWS, distributed systems, and backend engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications and services.
- Develop high-quality production code using C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
- Build and support distributed, multi-tiered, high-volume systems.
- Leverage AWS cloud technologies to develop scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support.
- Work independently to analyze technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across the U.S. and Spain.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong C++ development experience.
- Strong AWS cloud experience.
- Hands-on backend engineering experience.
- Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Strong understanding of OOP and software design principles.
- Experience across the full SDLC.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Prior Amazon experience is highly preferred/required by the client.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Generative AI.
- Enterprise-scale or business-facing applications.
- Experience handling large volumes of data.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
