Role Summary
A senior-level Digital Services Technical Manager responsible for leading complex cloud infrastructure and application development initiatives within an enterprise environment. This role involves driving technical strategy, overseeing digital transformation projects, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced, on-site setting. The manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to adopt modern software practices, including DevSecOps, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics, while maintaining a focus on security and system reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to mature software development processes and ensure continuous delivery of high-visibility applications.
  • Lead and influence multiple teams, including Software Developers, AWS SREs, Automation Engineers, Network Engineers, and Security specialists, to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology transformation projects, particularly in AI, analytics, and digital solutions, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for strategic communication with executives, responding to RFIs and developing technical approaches aligned with organizational roadmaps.
  • Manage and coordinate incident response efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures using observability and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, and OpenSearch.
  • Standardize processes for incident management, system monitoring, and deployment to improve operational efficiency and incident response times.
  • Create documentation for system events, incident resolutions, and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate agile sprint planning, process improvements, and technology updates to enhance team performance and product delivery.
  • Manage workload, performance, and development of team members and subcontractors to foster a high-performing technical environment.
  • Promote best practices in security, automation, and cloud engineering to support enterprise growth and innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and engineering leadership.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, including EKS, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and security tools such as Aqua and DLP.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps practices, CICD pipelines, Terraform, and containers orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Deep understanding of network administration, identity access management, and enterprise security principles.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale digital transformation projects and manage multiple stakeholders at various levels within an organization.
  • Active AWS certifications, including AWS Solutions Architect Professional and AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work on-site in a demanding, fast-paced environment, supporting a 24/7 operational schedule.

Publishing Pay Range: $85.00 - $90.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
