As a Systems Integration Engineer II, you'll be able to handle intermediate tasks in systems integration, with growing proficiency in requirements analysis and management. You'll conduct verification and validation (V&V) activities, manage software and hardware integration with minimal supervision, and support configuration management efforts. Responsibilities:- Perform intermediate systems integration tasks with growing proficiency.
- Conduct requirements analysis and management with minimal supervision.
- Lead verification and validation (V&V) activities for specific components or subsystems.
- Manage software and hardware integration tasks independently.
- Support configuration management and ensure proper documentation.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, and solve technical problems independently.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in systems integration or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency with integration tools and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams.
- Understanding of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and V&V principles.
- This position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)].
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Technical problem solving skills and ability to develop innovative technical solutions.
- Ability to guide technical designs through development into a final deliverable product.
- Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.
- Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.
Essential Functions:- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Hand/finger dexterity for integration tasks.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
