Your role and responsibilities
This role is for an SAP Advanced Payment Management (APM) Consultant, which delivers SAP implementation services across all sectors of TruQua and IBM within North America. This individual will be responsible for leading project teams as well as serving as an individual contributor, proposal development, ensuring the quality of team delivery, thought leadership, keeping the team members utilized, and ultimately growing revenue on projects.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on implementation experience with SAP Advanced Payment Management (APM) and SAP In-House Banking (IHB), helping clients design, configure, and deploy centralized payment and banking solutions within SAP landscapes. This role requires strong functional expertise across Treasury processes, payments, bank communications, and cash management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support SAP APM and In-House Banking implementations for global clients.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP Treasury solutions.
- Configure and support SAP Advanced Payment Management including:
- Payment Factory
- Payment routing and validation
- Exception handling
- Payment monitoring
- Approval workflows
- Bank communication processes
- Configure and support SAP In-House Banking capabilities including:
- In-House Bank account structures
- Intercompany payments
- Payment-on-behalf-of (POBO)
- Receivables-on-behalf-of (ROBO)
- Internal current accounts
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, treasury teams, banking partners, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Support integration with Cash Management, Bank Account Management, Multi-Bank Connectivity, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and external banking systems.
- Develop functional specifications and support technical development teams during implementation.
- Lead testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and hypercare support.
- Provide subject matter expertise and best practice recommendations for treasury and payment processes.
This role can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- 5-7+ years of overall SAP implementation experience
- Minimum one full lifecycle implementation of SAP Advanced Payment Management (APM)
- Minimum one full lifecycle implementation of SAP In-House Banking (IHB)
- Experience working with SAP Treasury and Risk Management, Cash Management, or Payments and Bank Communications
- Experience supporting requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
Required Skills- Hands-on experience working with SAP APM, SAP In-House Banking (IHB), Debt, Results analysis, US GAAP, IFRS, Cash Management, Cash Position, Forecasting, Bank Accounts Management, Treasury & Risk Management
- Deep understanding of and preferably hands-on experience in S/4HANA Finance
- Knowledge of payment processing and bank communication standards.
- Ability to prescribe, coordinate and unify the timely contribution across project teams, business functions, and service providers to deliver program objectives for Finance.
- Ability to grow and inspire high-performing project teams across workstreams through personal example, commitment to people development and diverse teams, and sphere of influence extending beyond role and team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience with global payment factory transformations.
- Experience integrating SAP Treasury solutions with banking platforms.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance and /or Treasury certifications preferred.
- Consulting experience within a professional services organization.
- Experience working in multinational and complex SAP environments.
- Exposure to Cash Forecasting and Liquidity Management
- Knowledge of SWIFT, ISO 20022, and other banking communication standards
- SAP Fiori experience related to Treasury and Banking applications.
