Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer / Architect for a direct hire opportunity with a Major Insurance Company located in Glenmont, NY.
Compensation: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview: We are seeking a
Senior ServiceNow Developer / Architect to lead the design, development, governance, and technical direction of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. This role requires deep hands-on engineering experience, strong platform architecture judgment, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and out-of-the-box-aligned ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM, CMDB, HAM, SAM, integrations, and future platform expansion.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the architecture, design, development, and support of enterprise ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities using advanced client-side and server-side scripting
- Design and develop business rules, script includes, REST/SOAP integrations, UI actions, custom applications, workflows, Flow Designer automation, and platform services
- Define scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across ITSM and additional ServiceNow modules such as CMDB, HAM, SAM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, and ITOM as needed
- Partner with process owners, business analysts, technical teams, and vendors to shape requirements, solution designs, implementation plans, and platform roadmaps
- Own platform engineering standards for security, performance, reliability, maintainability, upgrade safety, and adherence to ServiceNow best practices
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and deployment activities
- Provide senior-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical mentoring, and escalation support for complex platform issues
- Establish and enforce ServiceNow platform governance, development standards, release controls, technical documentation, and architectural decision processes
- Lead platform upgrades, patching readiness, regression planning, technical impact assessments, and remediation of upgrade-related findings
- Manage and prioritize the technical enhancement and defect backlog, ensuring solutions are properly designed, estimated, tested, documented, and deployed
- Lead new service implementations and modernization initiatives including CMDB, HAM, SAM, integrations, service catalog, workflow automation, reporting, and operational dashboards
Primary Requirements: - 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and platform engineering experience, including experience leading complex implementations or architecture decisions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or a related field
- Advanced JavaScript skills with strong knowledge of the Glide API, ServiceNow data model, platform security, ACLs, scoped applications, and integration patterns
- Proven experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server concepts, platform automation, and enterprise system integrations
- Ability to operate as a senior technical owner, balancing hands-on development, solution architecture, stakeholder alignment, platform governance, and delivery execution
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) strongly preferred; relevant Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications highly desirable
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis as visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Desired Skills: - Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in a module (e.g., ITSM)
- Experience with Git, ATF, or DevOps tools in ServiceNow
