Job Title: Financial Analyst: I
Duration: 12 months contract (No FTE conversion)
Location: Alpine CA 91901
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures adherence to financial guidelines and standards.
Reviews monthly report for complex order accounting per FERC guidelines to ensure O&M and capital costs are accurately allocated.
Audits and approves vendor invoices for accuracy and SOX compliance.
Prepares and processes journal entries in SAP.
Corresponds with vendors to gather monthly accrual data, prepares proper accrual documentation, and submits to Accounts Payable.
Audits data dashboard daily for order O&M costs that belong to capital per FERC guidelines.

Must-Have Qualifications:
Knowledge of accounting practices and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present financial analysis to management.

Education:
Requires 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Some Notes on the Role:
This will have one-two rounds of interviews, panel style with the host manager, and 2 supervisors.
This role will be on site Monday-Thursday and remote on Fridays.
