Diversified Systems is searching for an IT Consultant to advise enterprise clients on leveraging information technology processes, systems, and techniques to solve complex business problems and achieve strategic organizational objectives. Working within an IT Department, the ITC analyzes, evaluates, and optimizes systems to ensure operational efficiency while bridging business needs and technical solutions.
This role provides objective evaluation of technology trends, cost-benefit trade-offs, implementation risks, and enterprise architecture decisions to help clients achieve strategic goals through technology modernization and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Client Advisory & Requirements Definition
- Define comprehensive technical requirements and recommend tailored IT solutions.
- Generate, identify, and qualify methods of incorporating modern technology with standard industry practices.
- Serve as an expert advisor on industry alternatives, options, and risks, presenting data-driven analysis of advantages and disadvantages for business procedures.
- Technical Strategy, Risk & Cost Analysis
- Study technical trends and evaluate how acquired technical intelligence can be applied to upgrade and modernize client systems.
- Advise clients on solution options, implementation risks, cost versus benefit analysis, priorities, and cross-system process impacts.
- Consult with program and project management teams to architect technical solutions aligned with client strategic goals.
- Enterprise Architecture & Systems Analysis
- Evaluate legacy and modern system architectures, cloud and on-premises integration points, and enterprise workflows.
- Assess enterprise technology environments and provide recommendations for modernization and optimization.
- Business Process Modeling
- Translate complex business processes into actionable technical solutions.
- Conduct gap analyses and feasibility studies.
- Map business goals to standard industry practices.
- Strategic Advisory & Solution Framework
- Define functional and non-functional requirements with client stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging technical trends and determine feasibility and impact of upgrades and modernization initiatives.
- Analyze technology alternatives and document risks, operational impacts, and technical trade-offs.
- Provide recommendations that balance organizational priorities, costs, risks, and technical objectives.
Requirements:
- 2 years of professional experience in an IT Department or IT consulting firm required.
- Demonstrated broad exposure and background across enterprise technology areas including infrastructure, software, security, and data required.
- Proven ability to engage with client stakeholders, define requirements, and deliver technical option appraisals required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical risks and financial costs to non-technical leaders required.
- Preferred 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required.
Highly Desired Skills:
- Direct experience in external management or IT consulting engagements across multi-disciplinary client environments highly desired.
- Hands-on experience supporting IT security audits, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks highly desired.
- Exposure to large-scale public sector, regulated enterprise systems, or organizational digital transformation projects highly desired.
