Senior Jira Administrator- Atlassian Certified

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)

Schedule: Onsite for the first 4 months, then Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Jira Administrator to support and administer a large enterprise Atlassian environment. This role is focused on configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Jira to support Agile development teams and business users.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on Jira administration experience, a current Atlassian Jira certification, and a strong background configuring enterprise Jira environments.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Jira Software and Confluence in a large enterprise environment.
Configure and maintain Jira workflows, screens, custom fields, issue types, permission schemes, notification schemes, and projects.
Build and maintain dashboards, filters, reports, and Agile boards.
Configure and administer Jira and Confluence plugins.
Troubleshoot and resolve Jira configuration and user issues.
Partner with business stakeholders and Agile teams to improve Jira processes and workflows.
Support Jira upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing platform maintenance.
Provide end-user support and Jira administration best practices.

Required Qualifications

Current Atlassian Certification in Jira Project Administration (Required).
Minimum 4+ years of recent hands-on Jira Administration experience.
Experience administering Jira in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
Strong experience configuring:
- Jira Workflows
- Permission Schemes
- Notification Schemes
- Screen Schemes
- Custom Fields
- Dashboards
- Reports
- Agile Boards
Experience administering Jira and Confluence plugins.
Experience troubleshooting Jira administration issues.
Experience supporting Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban.
Strong communication and customer support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting enterprise environments with 1,000+ users.
Experience with Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center.
Experience with Atlassian Marketplace applications such as ScriptRunner or Automation for Jira.
Experience in banking, financial services, or another large enterprise environment is preferred.
Experience with Jira migrations, upgrades, or platform enhancements.
