Summary

Visa Independent – Interview: Video + Onsite

Position: Sr. SQL DBA
Location: NY (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
Seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and storage.
Perform backups, restores, maintenance, and disaster recovery testing.
Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, performance issues, and production incidents.
Support database upgrades, migrations, patching, and deployments.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.

Required Skills:

Strong Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience.
Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Experience with backup/recovery, replication, and high availability.
Knowledge of database security, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred:

Database migration and modernization experience.
Storage/infrastructure integration experience.
Automation using PowerShell and T-SQL.
