Description
We are looking for a talented Associate Creative Director/Copywriter to join a creative integrated marketing & advertising agency in Irvine, CA. Role will focus on crafting persuasive, insight-driven content for integrated marketing initiatives. This position is suited to someone who can shape strong brand narratives, translate strategy into memorable ideas, and produce effective copy across a range of channels. The ideal candidate brings both conceptual thinking and hands-on writing ability, working closely with cross-functional partners to deliver campaigns that connect with audiences and support client goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop original campaign concepts and written content for brand, digital, social, web, video, experiential, and promotional initiatives.
Partner with designers, strategists, and account stakeholders to turn business objectives and audience insights into cohesive creative solutions.
Produce clear, engaging copy that reflects each client's tone, positioning, and communication goals across multiple formats.
Help define and refine brand voice, messaging architecture, and narrative direction for a variety of consumer and business-focused accounts.
Present creative ideas and copy rationale to internal teams and clients, incorporating feedback while protecting the strength of the concept.
Contribute to high-level ideation while also executing detailed copy deliverables that meet deadlines and quality expectations.
Support and guide other writers or creative teammates by offering feedback, direction, and collaborative input.
Ensure all written materials align with campaign strategy, brand standards, and the overall creative vision for each project.
Requirements
7+ years of creative experience in an agency or in-house environment, with a strong emphasis on copywriting.
Demonstrated success building integrated campaigns from early concept development through final execution.
Portfolio that reflects strong storytelling ability, strategic thinking, and impactful brand-building work.
Experience writing for digital, social, video, web, experiential, and traditional marketing channels.
Ability to manage several assignments at once in a deadline-driven setting without sacrificing quality.
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain and defend creative decisions.
Experience collaborating across disciplines and contributing to the development of emerging creative talent.
Background in consumer, B2B, or cross-market campaign work is highly valued.
