Role: SAP Project Manager - SAP Finance Implementation (FaaST Program) Key Responsibilities
Location: Irvine, CA (3 days office 2days remote)
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for SAP Finance implementation initiatives.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate activities across business, functional, technical, and vendor teams.
- Facilitate project governance meetings, status reporting, and executive communications.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Drive requirement gathering, solution design, testing, training, and deployment activities.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and organizational standards.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, PMO, and IT leadership teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure successful business outcomes.
- Support change management and user adoption activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of Project Management experience delivering enterprise technology projects.
- 3+ years of experience managing SAP Finance implementation or transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of SAP Finance modules, including:
- SAP FI (Financial Accounting)
- SAP CO (Controlling)
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Financial Reporting
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
- Experience working with executive leadership and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.
- Experience with large-scale ERP transformation programs.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- Experience in Finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing system integrators and third-party vendors.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain organizations.
