Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of relational database design, data processing and data communications.
- Knowledge of agile application development techniques.
- Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives.
- Ability to write, read, and interpret technical specifications, test cases, and software requirements.
- Ability to design, develop and test web-based applications using industry standard techniques and guidelines
- Skill in deployment of web-based applications.
- Skill in developing and executing unit and system tests.
- Skill in developing program specifications.
- Skill in programming in Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
- Skill in using source code configuration management tools such as Team Foundation Server / DevOps.
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Skill with professional work experience developing .NET web applications.
- Developing using relational databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server).
- Experience with programming using C#.
- Experience in developing web applications.
- Preference will also be given to applicants who have a bachelor's degree or higher in a computer related field.
Job Related Requirements- This position is eligible for overtime.
- This position may periodically be required to work outside regular business hours.
- The position you are applying for is subject to a Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, and State Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS) security clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. Please note that, since this position requires CJIS clearance, the Department will have access to all applicants' criminal and juvenile delinquency records, even those that have been sealed or expunged.
General Information- The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI's Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
