Summary

Role: Senior UI/UX Designer - Design Systems
Rate: $55/hour W2
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer focused on Global Design Systems to support and evolve an enterprise-scale design system used across multiple digital products and teams. This is not a traditional UX or Product Design role. The focus is on building, maintaining, and scaling the foundational elements of a shared design system, including components, typography, styles, patterns, and reusable assets used by designers and design engineers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within enterprise-level Global Design Systems, with strong expertise in Figma, visual UI design, component architecture, and design system governance.

This is an individual contributor role. The team is looking for someone who enjoys building systems, improving consistency, and collaborating closely with designers and engineers. Strong professionalism, collaboration skills, and team fit are critical. Candidates should be comfortable working heavily in Figma and maintaining design system quality, organization, and scalability. The role will involve customizing existing components, creating new component variations, improving design system hygiene, and ensuring consistency across projects and teams.
A portfolio demonstrating relevant design system work is required.

Must Have

Advanced Figma experience
Strong Visual UI Design skills
Experience building and maintaining Global Design Systems
Enterprise-level design system experience
Experience creating reusable components, patterns, and variants
Portfolio demonstrating design system work
Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia 4 days per week

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting design system governance and adoption
Experience working closely with design engineers and development teams
Experience managing component libraries and documentation
Experience improving Figma organization, scalability, and component hygiene
Accessibility and inclusive design experience
Experience working across multiple teams or product lines using a shared design system

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and evolve reusable design system components within Figma
Create and manage component libraries, visual patterns, variants, and styles
Ensure consistency and scalability across digital products and experiences
Support design system governance, documentation, and adoption
Partner with designers, product teams, and engineers to align design and implementation
Customize and extend existing components while maintaining system integrity
Contribute to the overall health, organization, and scalability of the design system
Maintain strong visual design standards across all system assets
