Senior Sales Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to drive strategic revenue growth across the financial services sector. This role will lead enterprise technology sales efforts, build senior-level client relationships, and close complex opportunities with large financial institutions and wealth-management-focused organizations.
Position Overview
The Senior Sales Manager will develop and expand relationships with banks, wealth management firms, RIAs, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance companies, and other financial services organizations. The successful candidate is a consultative enterprise sales leader with a demonstrated record of selling complex B2B technology solutions, managing extended sales cycles, and engaging executive decision-makers.
This individual must understand the unique needs of the financial services and wealth management markets, including B2B and B2B2C technology business models where solutions ultimately support financial advisors, financial professionals, and end customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow enterprise accounts within the financial services market.
- Identify, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities with large financial institutions and wealth management organizations.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite leaders, business executives, technology leaders, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution development, contract negotiation, and close.
- Understand client business objectives, operational challenges, and technology priorities; position solutions that create measurable business outcomes.
- Drive strategic account growth through expansion opportunities, cross-selling, renewals, and long-term client retention.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, implementation, customer success, and leadership teams to deliver tailored enterprise solutions and exceptional client experiences.
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, accurate forecasts, account plans, and opportunity documentation.
- Consistently achieve or exceed established revenue, pipeline, and growth targets.
- Represent the organization at financial services industry conferences, executive briefings, client meetings, and networking events.
- Stay informed on financial services market trends, wealth management technology, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of enterprise B2B technology sales experience.
- Demonstrated success selling enterprise technology, software, SaaS, fintech, data, analytics, or related technology solutions into financial services organizations.
- Broad financial services sales experience, including exposure to banks, wealth management firms, broker-dealers, RIAs, asset managers, insurance companies, or similar institutions.
- Experience with B2B and B2B2C business models, particularly solutions supporting advisors, financial professionals, business clients, or end consumers.
- Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships and influence stakeholders across business and technology functions.
- Experience navigating complex enterprise buying processes, multiple decision-makers, procurement requirements, and long sales cycles.
- Strong consultative selling, discovery, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- History of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving strategic account growth.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and translate client needs into compelling technology solutions.
Desired Qualifications
- Direct financial services industry experience.
- Experience selling to large enterprises, including Fortune 1000 financial institutions.
- Enterprise SaaS, fintech, financial data, analytics, or digital transformation sales experience.
- Knowledge of wealth management platforms, advisor technology, digital engagement, or financial services technology ecosystems.
- Experience selling into or working with wealth management organizations, broker-dealers, RIAs, asset managers, or banking institutions.
- Experience partnering with product, implementation, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver solutions for complex enterprise environments.
- Existing network of relationships within the financial services, wealth management, or fintech communities.
