Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Application Programmer V for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications within Financial Crimes technology. The ideal candidate will work closely with business partners to define requirements and participate in the full development lifecycle, providing insight and direction from a data perspective to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities: - Develop complex requirements, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications
- Design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support maintenance activities
- Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications
- Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements
- Estimate work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Setup and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
- Handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades
- Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches and facilitate implementation
- Partner with the business to develop plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain change
- Effectively communicate with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables and timelines
Requirements: - 10+ years of applicable experience
- 7+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, MVC, Tomcat, Weblogic, UNIX Shell scripting, Oracle 11g, and Data analysis
- Experience with Angular JS, Web services, Maven, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, and Autosys (or any scheduling tool)
- Experience in designing, developing, and supporting application solutions with a focus on Web-based applications with J2EE architecture and Single Page Application Frameworks
- Expert in the development of Multi-Tier applications using J2EE frameworks like MVC, Spring, and Hibernate
- Knowledge and experience working with UI frameworks like Angular JS
- Knowledge and experience working with SQL, Stored Procedures, and performance tuning
- Knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development and JUnit
- Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
- Good knowledge of Unix and understanding of shell scripts
- Effective communication and listening skills
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
