NC FAST Salesforce Solutions Engineer  
Location: 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC
Work Model: Hybrid
 
 Position Overview 
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) Information Technology Division (ITD) is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Solutions Engineer to support major modernization initiatives across the NC FAST/Green application portfolio.

The selected candidate will design, develop, and deliver end-to-end solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud, supporting mission-critical public-sector programs including case management, licensing, service operations, and related business workflows.

This role is responsible for ensuring Salesforce solutions align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and long-term platform strategy while leveraging both declarative and programmatic Salesforce capabilities to build scalable and maintainable applications.

Key Responsibilities 
Technical Leadership

Establish Salesforce development standards and engineering best practices.

Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Conduct peer code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

Promote consistency across development teams.

Solution Design & Engineering

Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud.

Lead integration architecture and technical solution blueprinting.

Define configuration and implementation strategies aligned with enterprise standards.

Develop and maintain:

Follow platform governance and secure coding standards.

Requirements Analysis

Lead technical discovery sessions with product owners and business stakeholders.

Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend the best-fit approach.

Review Salesforce Spring, Summer, and Winter release notes.

Familiarity with AI technologies and Salesforce AI capabilities (e.g., Einstein AI or Agentforce).
