Position Summary
The Demand Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end demand lifecycle, ensuring requests are captured, assessed, prioritized, estimated, approved, resourced, and transitioned to delivery teams.
The role serves as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving governance, transparency, resource optimization, and successful delivery of approved initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and govern the demand intake process for new business and technology requests.
- Review, validate, and prioritize demands based on business value, strategic alignment, urgency, risk, and resource capacity.
- Facilitate demand triage meetings and coordinate with business, architecture, and delivery teams.
- Coordinate effort, cost, and resource estimations with Solution Architects and Technical Leads.
- Manage funding approvals, governance reviews, WBS creation, and investment council approval processes.
- Monitor demand pipeline health, capacity planning, and resource allocation across delivery teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on demand status, risks, dependencies, and approvals.
- Ensure smooth transition of approved demands into project execution and delivery phases.
- Track demand metrics, maintain dashboards, and prepare governance and executive reports.
- Drive continuous improvement of demand management processes, tools, and governance practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Demand Management / Demand Lifecycle Management.
- Experience managing demand intake, assessment, prioritization, estimation, approval, and transition to delivery.
- Strong experience working with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and delivery teams.
- Experience with governance, funding approvals, WBS creation, and investment council processes.
- Strong understanding of capacity planning, resource allocation, and demand pipeline management.
- Experience preparing dashboards, demand metrics, governance reports, and executive-level reports.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in the CST time zone.
- Immediate / ASAP availability is highly preferred.
