Summary

Introduction

The ERP Functional Team Lead – HR/Payroll leads a team of functional specialists supporting JD Edwards and related ERP technologies across Human Resources and Payroll domains. This role combines hands-on functional expertise with leadership responsibility to ensure stable operations, effective delivery, and continuous improvement of business processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of functional specialists supporting HR and Payroll systems.
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations aligned to organizational goals.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members.
Oversee prioritization and assignment of support, enhancements, and project work.
Balance production support and project delivery to maintain service levels and commitments.
Act as escalation point for complex issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
Lead root cause analysis and ensure sustainable issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to governance, change control, and compliance requirements.
Support audit activities and enforce segregation of duties and control standards.
Build relationships with business stakeholders and manage vendor performance.
Provide oversight of functional deliverables and maintain accountability for outcomes.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years ERP experience with HR/Payroll focus.
Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Experience leading teams or acting as a senior functional lead.

Required Qualifications

Strong functional knowledge of HR and Payroll processes.
ERP configuration, support, and implementation experience.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP integrations.
Knowledge of audit and compliance frameworks.
Experience with reporting or automation tools.
