Role: Workday Technical Project Manager / Architect
Location: Remote role

Starting at a 6-month contract with probable extension
Our client is seeking a Workday Technical Project Manager to help optimize and mature their Workday environment following recent go-lives across Core HCM, Financials, Procure, Expenses, and related modules.
This role is more technical than traditional project management, with a strong focus on Workday architecture, cross-module design, and helping the business maximize the value of the platform. The ideal candidate will bring broad Workday expertise, the ability to evaluate solutions across modules, and strong business-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and improve Workday architecture, configuration, and overall solution design across HCM, Financials, Procure, Expenses, and related modules.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, identify gaps, and develop Workday best practices.
- Evaluate the current out-of-the-box implementation and recommend opportunities to improve usability, efficiency, and business value.
- Provide cross-functional technical leadership and ensure design decisions are aligned across Workday modules.
- Help establish governance, standards, and best practices for ongoing Workday enhancements.
- Translate technical considerations into practical business solutions and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Provide project/program management support for Workday initiatives, including planning, prioritization, and coordination.
Ideal Background
- Strong Workday technical/architecture experience, ideally spanning HCM and Financials with exposure to additional Workday modules.
- Broad, cross-functional perspective someone who is 1 foot deep and 6 feet wide across the Workday ecosystem.
- Experience designing and optimizing Workday solutions beyond basic out-of-the-box functionality.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into effective Workday solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Some project/program management experience, with technical expertise being the primary focus.
