We are seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer to support development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance activities for a PeopleSoft HCM ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.x, particularly Workforce Administration (WFA), Talent Acquisition Management (TAM), and ePerformance.
Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer
Location: Remote PST time Job Type: Contract / Long-Term
The candidate should have extensive experience working on large-scale PeopleSoft implementations involving a significant number of users and multiple locations. Strong technical expertise in PeopleSoft development tools, Application Engine, SQL, Integration Broker, Fluid technology, Oracle databases, and related technologies is required.
Higher Education or Federal Government experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in development, enhancement, customization, integration, testing, and maintenance activities for the PeopleSoft HCM ERP system.
- Design and develop solutions supporting Workforce Administration (WFA), Talent Acquisition Management (TAM), and ePerformance modules.
- Develop and maintain PeopleSoft Application Engine programs, Component Interfaces, Fluid pages, Integration Broker services, and custom reports.
- Design and implement integrations and data services between PeopleSoft and external systems.
- Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and Application Engine programs.
- Work with Oracle databases, BI Publisher, SQL, and PL/SQL to support reporting and application requirements.
- Enhance PeopleSoft Fluid UI components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web development technologies.
- Work with PeopleSoft Tiles, Related Content, Event Mapping, and Page and Field Configurator.
- Analyze functional requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Develop conversion strategies, system implementation plans, technical design specifications, and test plans.
- Prepare clear and concise technical documentation for development, integration, implementation, and support activities.
- Assess how system changes and management actions may impact other applications, users, interfaces, and dependent business processes.
- Collaborate with functional teams, technical teams, business users, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in system testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-production support activities.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.x development.
- Extensive experience with PeopleSoft Workforce Administration (WFA), Talent Acquisition Management (TAM), and ePerformance.
- Experience working on at least two large-scale PeopleSoft implementation projects involving large user populations and multiple locations.
- Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft development tools, technologies, and integration capabilities.
- Strong experience with Application Engine and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and BI Publisher.
- Strong understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM data model.
- Experience developing Integration Broker services and data integrations.
- Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Fluid technology and modern UI development.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web development tools.
- Experience with Component Interfaces, Fluid Pages, Tiles, Related Content, Event Mapping, and Page and Field Configurator.
- Ability to develop technical specifications, conversion plans, implementation plans, and test plans.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Higher Education environments.
- Experience supporting Federal Government clients or systems.
- Experience with complex PeopleSoft HCM integrations and multi-system environments.
- Experience working with large, geographically distributed organizations.
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft HCM functional processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
The ideal candidate is a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer with 7+ years of PeopleSoft HCM 9.x experience and deep expertise in WFA, TAM, and ePerformance, along with strong development and integration skills. Candidates with Higher Education or Federal Government experience and a proven track record of large-scale PeopleSoft implementations are strongly preferred.
