Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst / PeopleSoft Functional-Technical Consultant to support the College’s PeopleSoft environment and related enterprise systems.
The consultant will provide senior-level business and systems analysis while bringing sufficient PeopleSoft technical expertise to investigate complex issues, analyze data and integrations, develop functional and technical requirements, and work effectively with both functional users and technical resources.
This is a functional-technical consulting role, not a full PeopleSoft developer position. The ideal consultant can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex business processes, system requirements, and PeopleSoft issues and recommend solutions.
Gather and document functional and technical requirements for system enhancements, integrations, reporting, and process improvements.
Serve as a liaison between functional departments, Business Systems Analysts, developers, vendors, and other technical resources.
Troubleshoot PeopleSoft application, data, integration, security, and process-related issues.
Use PeopleSoft Query and SQL to research data, validate system behavior, and support troubleshooting.
Analyze PeopleSoft records, fields, components, processes, integrations, and related application structures.
Review technical components such as PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, and SQR to support analysis and communicate effectively with developers.
Develop and coordinate functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Support PeopleSoft enhancements, integrations, upgrades, implementations, and system optimization efforts.
Document requirements, processes, system configurations, issues, and recommended solutions.
Desired Qualifications
Significant experience in senior-level business systems analysis, preferably supporting enterprise ERP applications.
Basic understanding of programming concepts and logic.
Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Strong experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and system implementations.
Working knowledge of SQL, PeopleSoft Query, and relational database concepts.
Functional-technical understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, data structures, security, integrations, and batch processes.
Ability to understand and review PeopleSoft technical components without being responsible for advanced application development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience working with functional departments, developers, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
