Description We are seeking an experienced
Senior SAP S/4HANA EWM Functional Consultant to join a growing SAP support team within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus heavily on
production support, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution across SAP S/4HANA EWM and related business processes.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SAP experience, strong hands-on EWM expertise, and a proven track record supporting a live, post-go-live SAP environment. This is an opportunity for a senior resource to step into a hands-on role, help reduce an existing ticket backlog, and provide knowledge and guidance to a developing SAP support team.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day functional production support for SAP S/4HANA EWM
- Analyze, troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve SAP support tickets
- Work directly with warehouse, production, and business users to understand issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Troubleshoot warehouse receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory processes
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, stock movement issues, and material availability problems
- Troubleshoot warehouse tasks, warehouse orders, deliveries, and RF/mobile transactions
- Resolve issues involving goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, and storage locations
- Troubleshoot material staging and movement of materials between warehouse and production
- Investigate issues involving production orders and the movement of materials to and from manufacturing
- Identify whether issues are related to EWM, configuration, master data, integration, or an underlying business process
- Support integration points between EWM and other SAP modules, including MM, QM, and production
- Assist with testing fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes prior to production deployment
- Document issues, root causes, resolutions, and recurring problems
- Identify trends in support tickets and recommend process or system improvements
- Prioritize tickets based on business impact and production urgency
- Collaborate with other SAP functional and technical teams to resolve cross-functional issues
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution
- Support post-go-live stabilization for new locations and SAP deployments
- Help reduce the existing ticket backlog while continuing to support incoming production issues
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert and mentor to less-experienced SAP support team members
Requirements Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of SAP experience, with significant post-go-live production support experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving EWM production support issues
- Strong understanding of warehouse and manufacturing business processes
- Experience working directly with business users and translating business problems into SAP solutions
- Ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP issues
- Strong understanding of integration between EWM and other SAP modules
- Experience with SAP MM, QM, and/or PM is highly preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume support environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SAP within a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting EWM following a recent implementation or deployment
- Experience with multiple SAP implementation waves or site rollouts
- Experience supporting RF/mobile warehouse transactions
- Experience troubleshooting EWM integration with production, MM, QM, or other SAP processes
- Experience mentoring junior SAP functional resources
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA warehouse and production processes
