Job Summary
As a Senior MDM Informatica Platform Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing Master Data Management (MDM) platforms powered by Informatica. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of MDM solutions that underpin essential data-driven processes in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability and quality of data that informs clinical, operational, and strategic decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end support and maintenance of Informatica MDM platforms, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor system health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures for recurring issues.
- Manage platform upgrades, patch installations, and configuration changes with minimal downtime and maximum data protection.
- Develop and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures, support processes, and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in data integration activities, including data migration, synchronization, and transformation to maintain consistency across systems.
- Provide senior-level escalation support for complex platform issues and mentor junior team members.
- Engage in capacity planning and recommend enhancements to improve platform efficiency and scalability.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring business continuity for critical data assets.
- Participate in regular audits and compliance checks to align platform operations with industry standards and organizational policies.
Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Informatica MDM platform support, administration, or development.
- Deep technical expertise in Informatica MDM, including Hub Console, Data Director, and IDD configurations.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management concepts in the Life Sciences and Healthcare domain.
- Proficiency with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server), data integration tools, and scripting languages (Shell, Python).
- Experience with platform monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and ITIL-based support processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in handling incident and change management in a regulated environment.
- Informatica certifications (such as Informatica MDM Administrator or Developer) are highly desirable.
- Experience supporting cloud-based MDM deployments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, and GxP.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and automation tools for platform management.
- Ability to work in a global, multicultural team and support on-call or off-hours as needed.
