Remote Senior Platform Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Remote Senior Platform Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in production environments
* Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
* Build and maintain cloud networking, compute, storage, database, container, and integration services
* Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure and application deployments
* Administer containerized workloads and Kubernetes-based environments
* Support cloud operations, including troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and change management
* Implement cloud security, governance, identity, compliance, and cost-management controls
* Design highly available and resilient environments that support disaster recovery and business continuity requirements
* Implement monitoring, alerting, autoscaling, and automated remediation capabilities
* Develop scripts and automation solutions to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency
* Monitor cloud performance, availability, capacity, and service health
* Create and maintain architecture documentation, operational procedures, and technical support materials
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support deployments, knowledge transfer, and production readiness
* Participate in on-call support for critical production environments as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Azure cloud infrastructure in production environments
* Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
* Experience with cloud automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies
* Hands-on experience deploying and supporting containers and Kubernetes environments
* Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation
* Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, security, identity, and modern application architecture
* Experience implementing cloud governance, access controls, compliance requirements, and cost optimization practices
* Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, and business continuity concepts
* Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting solutions
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
* Experience supporting complex, business-critical cloud environments
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
