Senior Cloud Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Cloud Engineer in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities:
* Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure and platform solutions in enterprise environments
* Build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures to support business applications and services
* Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code practices
* Manage cloud resources, networking, identity management, storage, and access controls
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments to improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated application and infrastructure deployments
* As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will partner with internal stakeholders to enhance platform capabilities and improve service delivery
* Contribute to technical design discussions, process improvements, and architecture decisions
* Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices
* Mentor team members and promote reusable solutions, automation, and operational excellence
* Identify and eliminate manual processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
* 4+ years of experience working with cloud platforms and cloud infrastructure
* Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions in production environments
* Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting, or software development
* Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
* Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments
* Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, virtualization, storage, security, and access management concepts
* Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate effectively across teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
