As we continue to expand, we are bringing our core financial operations in-house and hiring an exceptional Controller. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will lead the transition from external advisory support to an internal, audit-ready accounting function, spearhead the adoption of next-generation financial software, and build the foundation for our long-term accounting organization.

Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Financial Close & Operations: Direct monthly and quarterly close cycles, variance reporting, financial statement preparation, and core accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, and treasury).
- Revenue Accounting: Oversee complex ASC 606 revenue policies for SaaS subscriptions and usage-based contracts.
- Technical Accounting: Craft technical memos and establish positions across equity, software capitalization, leases, and complex enterprise deals.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Lead the implementation of an AI-native ERP system and handle cloud/compute expenditure accounting.
- Compliance & Audit: Manage corporate tax filings, state registrations, and R&D credits, while preparing the organization for its inaugural external audit.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership (Controller, Assistant Controller, or Sr. Accounting Manager) in high-growth tech.
- Active CPA required, with foundational Big Four audit experience.
- Deep mastery of ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription and consumption-based business models.
- Proven track record leading ERP implementations, owning the close, and managing external audits.
- Tech-forward professional actively using AI and modern automation tools to optimize workflows.
