SharePoint Specialist
San Jose, CA - 3 days onsite
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Business Systems Analyst – SharePoint Specialist leads and performs the analysis, design,
implementation, management, and support of business solutions leveraging Microsoft SharePoint and
related technologies, with a strong focus on workflow automation. The role serves as a key liaison between business units and IT, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic objectives, streamline business processes, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into clear technical and functional specifications.
Develop, implement, and enforce SharePoint governance policies and standards.
Ensure compliance with corporate data security policies and best practices for data management, security,sharing, and access controls in SharePoint.
Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.
Create and maintain business process flows, functional specifications, training materials, governance
plans, and other supporting documentation.
Analyze existing SharePoint sites, including usage patterns, sharing and access controls, and identified gaps; recommend SharePoint-based solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
Lead or participate in the implementation of new SharePoint features and migration initiatives.
Design scalable, user-friendly SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and web parts aligned with business
needs.
Design, develop, and manage automated workflows.
Provide ongoing support and training for SharePoint users across the organization.
Serve as a subject matter expert on SharePoint best practices, trends, and capabilities.
Perform other assigned tasks and support additional applications as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, including at least 3 years of hands on SharePoint experience.
Proven experience leading requirements-gathering sessions and managing complex SharePoint-based projects.
Experience designing and implementing business workflows using SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, or other automation tools.
Experience with PowerShell.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work onsite at least three days per week at the project location in San Jose, California.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
Experience with SharePoint migration.
Experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports.
Experience with other project systems, including document management (Aconex), project cost and
contract management (Unifier), scheduling (Primavera P6), and helpdesk ticketing systems
