Role Overview
We are looking for a Collaboration Success Engineer to join the Collaboration Success Team. This is a highly customer-facing consulting role focused primarily on SharePoint and Smartsheet.
The successful candidate will work directly with internal customers to understand business needs, design practical collaboration solutions, support Box-to-SharePoint/OneDrive migrations, and drive adoption of collaboration and work-management platforms.
This is not a traditional SharePoint administration or back-end role. Approximately 90% of the position is customer-facing, requiring strong consulting, communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend collaboration solutions.
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, presentations, and stakeholder discussions.
- Design and implement SharePoint solutions, including information architecture, governance, permissions, and site structure.
- Support Box-to-SharePoint and OneDrive content migration initiatives.
- Advise customers on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 best practices.
- Spend approximately 45% of the role on Smartsheet solutioning and consulting, including:
- Business-process discovery
- Workflow design
- Automation
- Reporting and dashboards
- Implementation and optimization
- User adoption
- Provide guidance on other collaboration platforms such as Asana.
- Translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple customer engagements independently from discovery through adoption.
- Contribute to solution standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, collaboration technologies, customer success, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint.
- Experience with Smartsheet and workflow/solution design.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
- Experience with content migration, collaboration, or digital workplace initiatives.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and customer/stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements.
- Strong communication and consulting skills.
