Job Overview:
Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting, general ledger management, or financial analysis.
- Deep, intuitive understanding of debits, credits, and foundational accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, post, and meticulously document recurring and ad-hoc journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications, ensuring strict adherence to accounting principles.
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of financial data directly from our databases to support month-end close and reporting.
- Drive and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of financial statements to identify and explain business trends, comparing current performance across Quarter-over-Quarter and Year-over-Year periods.
- Design, prepare, and deliver clear, high-quality financial presentations and reporting packages to communicate performance metrics to senior management and key stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience writing SQL to navigate and analyze complex datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with major ERP systems.
Skills:
- Proven ability to spot trends in raw data.
- Ability to explain the 'why' behind financial variances.
- Ability to present findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
