Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Database Architects to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Design scalable Azure cloud data lakehouse and data warehouse architectures.
- Implement metadata management, data governance, and lineage solutions.
- Develop and optimize Databricks/Spark data pipelines and cloud integrations.
- Produce architecture documentation, data models, and technical standards.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:

Education
|
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
|
|
Experience
|
7+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture, including 3+ years designing Azure cloud data platforms and enterprise data solutions.

|
Technical Skills
|
Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, Metadata Management
|
|
Business / Domain Skills
|
Cloud Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Modeling, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Enterprise Analytics
|
|
Communication
|
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
|
|
Documentation
|
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
|
|
Work Authorization
|
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.
|
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or DataHub.
- Knowledge of Airflow, dbt, CI/CD, and schema evolution.
- Experience with data security, Medallion Architecture, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
