RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Design Lead in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Stamford, CT. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Service and Customer Experience.
Summary:
The Design Lead designs features that directly impact the consumer experience with the "product" (Spectrum's digital communications (email, RCS)). You will design innovative solutions by collaborating with all involved teams and supporting new and existing features. The Design Lead is involved in leading innovative solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead the design of mockups, user flows, and high-fidelity artifacts to support product requirements
* Design Lead will partner with the wider design team to drive cross-platform consistency and design system adherence - maintaining system standards for both human designers and systems that consume design documentation
* Develop, modify, enhance, and implement design specifications and assets suitable for implementation
* Establish standards for how design intent is documented and validated through implementation; Define quality criteria for output review
* Set cadence expectations for the team; Balance throughput with quality standards
* Own the escalation framework; Balance quality standards against velocity pressure
* As a Design Lead, you will organize files and follow all established design patterns when applicable
* Responsible for design reviews and brainstorming sessions to help solve problems
* Partner with the cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities, and necessary deliverables.
* Lead the greater design team to respond, clarify, or define specific product look and feel
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of digital design experience
* 5+ years of experience with design and prototyping tools (Figma, or equivalent)
* Experience with project estimation and capacity planning
* Experience mentoring and developing junior to senior designers
* Experience setting the standard for what good looks like and determining when work is ready to move forward
* Experience with escalation management - balancing quality against velocity
* Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, project/task management platforms (Jira, Confluence)
* Proven knowledge of new design techniques and evolving design workflows
* In-depth understanding of platform-specific nomenclature
* In-depth understanding of UX best practices
* Demonstrates effective time management skills and the ability to be self-directed
* Demonstrates effective client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
* Demonstrated ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain design quality standards for a team
* Ability to demonstrate UI and UX design skills via portfolio
* Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
* Ability to fully engage and collaborate with team
* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Preferred:
* Experience authoring team-wide design guidelines, pattern libraries and standards
* Experience driving design system updates based on patterns observed in implementation output
* Track record of communicating practice/strategy updates to leadership or cross-functional audiences
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
