Location- Westlake, TX/hybrid

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Kafka Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Apache Kafka-based data streaming and messaging solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kafka administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and integrating Kafka with enterprise applications and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters in production environments.
Develop and support real-time streaming applications using Kafka Producers, Consumers, and Kafka Streams.
Monitor Kafka cluster health, performance, and capacity planning.
Configure and manage Kafka topics, partitions, replication, ACLs, and security.
Troubleshoot Kafka performance, connectivity, and messaging issues.

Required Skills

5+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on Apache Kafka experience.
Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka architecture and ecosystem.
Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and KSQL (or ksqlDB).
Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python for Kafka application development.
