Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in gathering user requirements, documenting the requirements, running agile software development meetings, documenting technical systems, and to have a basic understanding of cloud technologies as they apply to the development area and perform as scrum master.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements elicitation and analysis by engaging business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, clarify, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable artifacts, including user stories, use cases, process flows, data models, and acceptance criteria, ensuring traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Serve as a Scrum Master for Agile delivery teams by facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; remove impediments and promote continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to document technical systems, integrations, data flows, and application dependencies, including cloud-based components.
• Support Agile and hybrid project delivery by coordinating activities across Scrum teams, tracking progress, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring alignment with project schedules and milestones.
• Utilize JIRA, Azure DevOps, and related tools to manage product backlogs, track requirements, monitor sprint metrics, and maintain transparent reporting for stakeholders.
• Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and basic database concepts to support requirements definition, reporting, and testing activities.
• Analyze and optimize business processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities, and recommending solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with cloud architecture principles, security standards, and scalability requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, technical specifications, user guides, and release notes.
• Identify, assess, and track project risks and mitigation strategies, escalating issues as needed and supporting informed decision-making.
• Act as a trusted liaison between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and alignment across all phases of delivery.
• Leverage collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and version control systems to manage documentation, enable team collaboration, and support audit-ready delivery.

Position Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of professional experience as a Senior Business Analyst with some experience as a Scrum Master
• Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques (e.g., use cases, user stories, process flows)
• Experience with business process, Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams
• Familiarity with SQL for data querying and basic database concepts
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements
• Experience with Agile and traditional project management methodologies
• Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies
• Proficiency in collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git or SharePoint) for documentation management
• Experience with stakeholder management tools and techniques
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining project documentation, including technical specifications and user manuals
