Description
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect with expertise in F5 technologies to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced F5 solutions to optimize application performance and network security. As part of a long-term contract, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of enterprise-level systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy F5-based solutions, including Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Access Policy Manager (APM), to enhance network performance.
Configure and manage security protocols such as SAML and OpenID Connect authentication methods.
Write, troubleshoot, and optimize iRules to support application functionality and traffic management.
Implement load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic routing strategies to improve application efficiency.
Resolve issues affecting F5 devices to maintain high system performance and availability.
Collaborate with teams to integrate F5 technologies into the broader network infrastructure.
Monitor F5 systems and applications to identify risks and implement proactive solutions.
Configure and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect against cyber threats.
Automate F5-related tasks using tools like APIs, Ansible, or Python for streamlined operations.
Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure systems align with industry best practices.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with F5 technologies, including BIG-IP modules such as LTM and APM.
Strong proficiency in creating, managing, and troubleshooting iRules.
Deep understanding of Layer 4-7 traffic management and encryption protocols.
Experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) configurations and security policies.
Familiarity with network protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS.
Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Python, or APIs for managing F5 systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stay updated on emerging F5 technologies and apply industry best practices.
