Description
We are looking for a skilled Database Developer to join our team in Houston, Texas. As part of this long-term contract role, you will play a key role in optimizing data systems and processes for an industry-leading company in the energy and natural resources sector. This opportunity involves developing robust databases, ensuring efficient reporting, and contributing to the success of critical projects.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain database systems to support business requirements.
Create and optimize data reporting solutions, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement effective solutions.
Utilize SSRS to generate detailed reports based on business specifications.
Apply SSIS for efficient data integration and transformation processes.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to enhance system efficiency.
Ensure data security and integrity by implementing best practices.
Support the migration and transition of existing database systems to new platforms.
Conduct regular audits and updates to maintain optimal database functionality.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on database-related matters to team members.
Requirements
Proven experience in database development and management.
Proficiency in SSRS for creating detailed and custom reports.
Strong knowledge of SSIS for data integration and transformation.
Familiarity with database migration processes and tools.
Ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
