Position Summary

This Product Manager role is responsible for defining and shaping the technology strategy for the Portfolio Management Domain within Global Credit, with a focus on Private Credit (Direct Lending and Opportunistic Credit), Asset Backed Financing (ABF), Real Assets, and Cross-Platform funds.

The Product Manager will partner closely with senior business leaders across Portfolio Management, Fund Management, Operations, and Compliance-and with product managers in adjacent Credit domains-to ensure platforms enable effective portfolio management, operational efficiency, and robust risk management. Success hinges on tight collaboration across domains and translating strategic needs into actionable roadmaps and adopted solutions.

Key functions include:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the Portfolio Management Domain.
  • Promote the vision internally and across domains to drive alignment and commitment to shared outcomes.
  • Shape business architecture and influence roadmaps to ensure scalability, integration, and data quality.
  • Drive and measure product adoption through engagement, enablement, and change management.
  • Lead proactive resource planning and capacity management to support balanced delivery.
  • Provide program updates and executive communications on priorities, milestones, and risks.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring accountability and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Oversee end-to-end product delivery, unblocking execution when required.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Private Credit, ABF, and portfolio management workflows.
  • Champion process improvement and standardization across portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with other Global Credit product managers to ensure integrated, cross-domain delivery.

Responsibilities

Product Requirements & Delivery - 30%

  • Lead agile delivery teams in executing initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
  • Balance strategic transformation projects with ongoing production needs.
  • Oversee requirements practices to ensure business needs are translated into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with technology leads to optimize delivery and team processes.
  • Measure adoption and business impact of delivered solutions and adapt roadmaps accordingly.

Strategy & Vision - 25%

  • Partner with senior leaders in Private Credit, ABF, Real Assets, and Cross-Platform funds to translate business strategy into actionable domain initiatives.
  • Ensure the Portfolio Management Domain strategy supports business growth, efficiency, and risk management.
  • Align domain initiatives with firmwide data and reporting standards, collaborating with Enterprise Data and other domains.

Stakeholder Engagement - 25%

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to portfolio management leaders, providing insights into technology options and tradeoffs.
  • Facilitate alignment between business and technology through steering committees, demos, and working groups.
  • Build consensus across functions when competing priorities arise and ensure transparency into decision-making.

Process Support - 20%

  • Maintain governance processes for intake, prioritization, and delivery in alignment with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure business cases, value analyses, and charters clearly define scope, outcomes, and costs.
  • Document domain processes and identify opportunities for simplification and automation.

Qualifications

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Concentration in accounting, finance or relevant business domains field is strongly preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 12-15 years of product management, product owner, or business analyst experience in financial services.
  • Extensive expertise in Private Credit (Direct Lending, Opportunistic Credit), ABF, Real Assets, and Cross-Platform funds.
  • Demonstrated success engaging senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management platforms and order management systems strongly preferred.

Competencies & Attributes

  • Proven ability to define and communicate a product vision and translate it into execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus across domains.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for business and technology audiences.
  • Experience writing requirements and documenting business processes (BPMN 2.0 preferred).
  • Self-starter with strong accountability, ownership, and ability to influence outcomes while fostering team success.

Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
